From an Unhappy Life to the Freedom of the Butterfly

In the same way, you have the potential to transform a life that is drab, unhappy, limited, or without fulfillment into one that brings the freedom of a butterfly!  I call this self-discovery.  But self-discovery is really self-rediscovery.  You already possess a powerful, pure, and radiant consciousness, which I call the Silent Master.  The rediscovery of this aspect of yourself can bring you the freedom that makes life worth living, not avoiding, not hiding from, not faking.
In my first book, Seven Steps to Inner Power, I present a foundation of principles that lead to the discovery of your Silent Master.  But once you know about the Silent Master within, when you know who you are and what your potential is, there is one more vital step to take.  Action!  Inner knowledge brings freedom only when you put it into action.  In this second book, I emphasize how to create your own path of self-discovery so that your knowledge brings you freedom and love and joy.

What if a Caterpillar misses his destiny?

But imagine if some terrible spell were to make the caterpillar forget his destiny, or forget who he really is. Imagine that the caterpillar never took steps to make the transformation possible.  Imagine that he never ate the proper leaves, nor spun the cocoon.  Perhaps he spent the rest of his life simply crawling around and avoiding his enemies finally dying of starvation or old age.  What a loss this would be!  We would only hope that something, somewhere, sometime would make the caterpillar remember his true identity and fulfill his true destiny.

Recognize the Signs...

We were driving home yesterday from a fantastic meeting.  I turned to the right and Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim pointed out the most incredible circular rainbow.  Many many people drove by, but how many really recognized it?  I have to be more aware, and watch for the signs.  My deeper connection with my Silent Master.  My deepest relationship with God.  How lucky we are.  A sign from God to promote goodness and positive energy in the world.  This was really really an incredible moment.
Thank you Dr. Tae Yun Kim.  Your wisdom and teachings are deep and wide and powerful.  Thank you Lord, and God Bless you.

Silent Master - Discovering your Inner Power

We have such great power within us. Discovering this power for me is crucial, and the most beautiful part of life...

We all have the potential to transform a life that is drab, unhappy, limited, or without fulfillment into one that brings the freedom of a butterfly! Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim calls this self-discovery. But self-discovery is really self-rediscovery. You already possess a powerful, pure, and radiant consciousness, which is called the Silent Master. The rediscovery of this aspect of yourself can bring you the freedom that makes life worth living, so that you need not avoid, hide from, or fake life anymore.

A Terrible Spell?

But imagine if some terrible spell were to make the caterpillar forget his destiny, or forget who he really is. Imaging that the caterpillar never took steps to make the transformation possible. Imagine that he never ate the proper leaves, nor spun the cocoon. Perhaps he spent the rest of his life simply crawling around and avoiding his enemies, finally dying of starvation or old age. What a loss this would be! We would only hope that something, somewhere, sometime would make the caterpillar remember his true identity and fulfill his true destiny.

Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim teaches people to transform from the caterpillar to a butterfly at her Jung SuWon Academy of Martial Arts. I have personally seen many people choose to transform, and many people that choose to remain the caterpillar. It is your choice. At times it will be hard work, and take sacrifice and commitment towards your own goals, but do you want to be the caterpillar or the butterfly in your life. It is everyone's individual choice.

I love to see others that are really striving to excel and be better. Here is one Jung SuWon student that is learning to deal with the challenges of constant pain and living on coumadin. Here is another student learning God's great gifts to us all.

Look at Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim's demonstrations of mind over matter to give you a insight into what you can achieve in your life. An article from the NY times gives some more insight into this exciting way of life.

The spirit of choosing to become the butterfly can also be fun and exciting. Visit some of these:

Dr. Tae Yun Kim- An Introduction to Silent Master

As part of my teaching, I hold Self-discovery Weekends where people explore and express themselves through many different energizing activities. the purpose of these weekends is to give people an opportunity to open up, to love themselves in a more expansive way, and most importantly, to discover more of their true Self. Most of each weekend is spent outdoors in beautiful, remote areas of nature.

I remember that during one of these weekends, while everyone was seated in a circle after completing some breathing exercises, a large butterfly flew into the circle and alighted on my arm.

This charming and fascinating visitor seemed to have a mission. I invited him to step on my hand, and he did so without making any gesture to leave. He stretched his beautiful wings and waved them gently at everyone who came close to look. Even when I stood up and moved around, he still didn't fly away.

Like the butterfly, we had a mission as well. we were gathered together on this day for the purpose of true self-discovery. It seemed as though this beautiful little visitor came to say, "Look at me if you want to know about self-discovery." Perhaps his mission was to remind us of the powerful symbol nature gives us when a lowly, drab caterpillar transforms itself into a multicolored winged being. No longer bound to crawl upon the earth, an altogether different creature flies to the air in freedom!
